Rotary Information:

Rotarians are accepted by invitations and all should have classifications, they all come with the same purpose and goals to develop understading towards their goal: peace. Fellowship is very important to them that is why they try to meet as often as possible, and the second important thing is meaningful service projects.

On their daily life, Rotarians believe in the Four way tests, of the things they think, say and do :

  1. Is it the TRUTH ?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned ?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS ?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned ?

We all think, that if everyone in the world are using these four way tests on their daily life, there will be no corruption, no fight, no war and we all are living in harmony. Rotary members are also not involved in rasial issues, political issues, religion and everyone welcome without considering of those issues.

THE OBJECT OF ROTARY

is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

  1. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
  2. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all usefull occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to service society;
  3. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;
  4. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

CLASSIFICATIONS:

Membership in a Rotary Club is by invitation and was based on the founders’ paradigm of choosing one representative of each business, profession, and institution in the community, that is called “classification principle”

A Rotarian’s classification describes the principal and recognized activity of the firm, company or institution with which a Rotarian is connected, or which describes the member’s principal and recognized business or professional activity.

The Classification is determined by activities or services rather than by the position held by the particular individual. In other words, if a person is president of a bank, he or she is not classified as ” bank president” but under classification “banking”. The classification principle fosters a fellowship for service based on diversity of interest, and seeks to prevent the predominancein the club of any one group. Up to 5 members or 10 percent of the club membership (whichever number is greater) may share a classification.
